Thank You!
Thanks to each one of you for a wonderful launch of this website and blog!
I would never have guessed I would be writing for “public consumption,” mostly because I didn’t think I was capable. Technology and I are only beginning to be friends; creating this website was a huge learning adventure. But even more, writing makes one vulnerable, and I’m not good at that…
I love to tell stories about others, and I love to teach about our marvelous God, but when it comes to sharing anything that might possibly be rejected, I recoil. Our enemy would like to find each of our sensitive spots so he can push those buttons as often as possible, and fear of rejection is my “biggie.” If we listen to our fears, we become stagnant. If we allow the devil to intimidate us, we lose joy.
So, sisters in Christ, I thank you for the warm reception of this endeavor of love. I do it because I’m compelled to, and every time I sit down to write God’s joy floods over me, and the fears and discouragement I may have felt melt away.
It can be the same for all of us.
One huge lesson I’m learning is that our dreams are from God. All of us have admired the accomplishments of people we look up to, but we hold back when a door of opportunity might open for us. As we surrender ourselves to the Lord, He reveals possibilities we would never have imagined. And, when we seek His guidance, He never disappoints.
Spend some extra time with God and ask Him to give you a dream you would never have come up with on your own…like writing a blog!
